Risk Assessment

A risk assessment is an important step in protecting your workers and your business, as well as complying with the law. It helps you focus on the risks that really matter in your workplace and can lead to significant improvement in what you do resulting in increased productivity and profitability; “not to mention helping towards your legal compliance and avoiding costly litigations”.

What is Risk Assessment?

A risk assessment is a thorough examination of what, in your work, could cause harm to people or damage to equipment/property, so that you can weigh up whether you have in place enough precautions or should do more to prevent harm, as we all have a right to be protected from harm caused by your activities.

Who can carry out Risk Assessment?

Generally anyone can carry out a risk assessment as we all do it instinctively once we are awake. You will need to ask yourself “am I competent” in that a risk assessor is required to possess suitable Skills, Knowledge, Attitude, Experience and have received training in order that the assessment addresses the areas it should do.

What can we do to help you?

We can co-ordinate your assessment programmes whether it be reviewing what you already have in place or starting from a blank canvas. The program will not be general but will be specific to your activities/needs. An organisation partnered by DRA is being assisted not just by one person but by a team of competent multi-skilled support focussed individuals that are there when required; enabling all allocated resources to be maximised.
